On April 5 and 6, the Central Exhibition Complex "Expocentre" in Moscow hosted the 3rd International Exhibition-Conference on the creation, maintenance and development of a comfortable urban environment, recreation parks, public spaces and specially protected natural areas "ParkSeason Expo". For the third year in a row, the exhibition brings together not only city parks and public spaces, but also nature reserves, national parks, sanctuaries and other kinds of territories.
The main park exhibition was organized by the Association of Parks of Russia with the assistance of the Ministry of Construction of Russia and with the support of relevant federal and regional authorities. The exhibition presented the best technologies in 9 thematic sections, among which were "Entertainment and leisure", "Ecology, nature and wildlife", "Tourism and recreation" and other areas. The business program of the exhibition-conference was attended by honored guests from Russia, Belarus, Tatarstan, as well as international experts from China, Uganda, South Africa, Iran and Syria.
As a representative of the Republic of Belarus, the deputy director for tourism of the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve Elena Nikolaevna Olshevskaya took part in the exhibition. She was a speaker at the plenary session on the topic of national parks and protected areas of Russia and the world, and was organized jointly with the All-Russian Society for Nature Conservation.
Elena Nikolaevna told the audience of the conference about the peculiarities of state management of specially protected natural areas (SPNA) in the Republic of Belarus. She touched upon the legislative foundations for the creation and functioning of protected areas in our country, which are included in the system of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Belarus.
Elena Olshevskaya made a special emphasis on the peculiarities of the functioning of the Belarusian natural territory of the highest category of protection − the Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve.
Participation in such a major international event made it possible to present our organization and a higher authority, as well as to meet and establish contacts with potential partners − heads of state and commercial institutions, Russian and foreign manufacturers.
